A great recommendation from the Sunday Express, 1st October.

Jamie Goode, wine expert for the Express uncovered this gem whilst on his travels..

I’m just back from exploring Argentina’s thriving wine scene where I made some great new discoveries. While the South American country is justly famous for its excellent reds made from the malbec grape, there’s a lot more going on. Here I’m looking beyond malbec to see what else this intriguing country can produce.”

Zorzal Eggo Tinto de Tiza Malbec 2014, Mendoza. 13.5% alcohol

‘Here’s an interesting blend of malbec, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon grape varieties, fermented and aged in concrete eggs. It is juicy and vibrant with spice-laden blackcurrant and black-cherry fruit, and there’s also some savoury, spicy character.’
