Located in the heart of the Alentejo region, the Herdade do Esporao Estate was established in 1267. Having passed through various families and Counts of the region, the property has been owned by the Roquette family since 1973. Their first wine was bottled in 1985. Always made from the Alentejo DOC grape varieties, the Reserva wines are classics of the region. A different Portuguese artist illustrates the labels each year. There are intense aromas of ripe tangerine and apricot with subtle notes of toast and smoke from barrel fermentation. Complex, creamy, well balanced palate showing full fruit flavours and mineral notes with a long and fresh finish.
