The illustrious Montresor family moved from France to Italy at the start of the 19th Century and settled in the Veneto region near Lake Garda. In 1892 Cantina Giacomo Montresor was established in Verona, and remains family-owned to this day.
This is a subtle and restrained white wine made from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes (Turbiana) with delicate stone fruit and lightly nutty aromas. The palate is textural with more nutty characters and good concentration, all beautifully balanced by peachy fruit, a dash of lime, and refreshing acidity on the finish. A lovely example of one of northern Italy’s most in-vogue white wines.
