This spicy shiraz is aged in French and American oak barrels for 14 months. A touch of viognier lifts the shiraz creating a velvety, juicy wine with a touch of apricot. Ben Riggs is known as the King of Shiraz in the McLaren Vale. Riggs takes it easy with the oak influence to produce wines that are generous, smooth and very enjoyable. The clever balance of oak and tons of fruit make this wine work so well.
