A very attractive aroma dominated by lemon/lime/citrus nuances and maybe some yellow peach. Fresh, crisp and dry; the palate is brimming with those lemon/lime/slate characters, all nicely balanced by bright acidity that provides much of the drive to the finish.
This is the 32nd release of this much loved wine. As always, it makes a lovely drink as a youngster, but will definitely improve in the bottle for 6-10 years for those who like Riesling with a little age. I am yet to discover a better ‘oyster wine’ than young, dry Clare Valley Riesling.
