Glenelly Glass Collection Unwooded Chardonnay, Stellenbosch

Owned by May de Lencquesaing, former owner of Bordeaux Château Pichon-Lalande, Glenelly offers a Bordeaux-inspired structure with fine New World richness.

Winemaking at Glenelly, situated in Idas Valley, Stellenbosch is considered an art form and 2009 saw the inauguration, on this 128ha estate, of a winery which is a stellar example of modern methods, design and environmental awareness.

The Glass Collection Unwooded Chardonnay has a bright and brilliant colour with a slight green hue. The wine has complex aromas of citrus, lime zest, marmalade and melon. On the palate there is a beautiful, round and comforting texture with wonderful length, intense fruit complexity and a mineral oyster shell finish.
