Heights of the Charge’ Verdejo Viura

£9.65

Description

Heights of the Charge is a real mix… the two traditional grapes of the Rueda region; Verdejo (70%) and Viura (30%) have been carefully sourced from old vines – by that they mean 35 to 40 year old plantings. The Viura adds real backbone and good acidity to the Verdejo, so is really pretty essential in providing the fresh, bright, crunchy green characters we’ve all come to expect from the region’s whites. A beautiful little wine and a real winner in our books… but we’re not alone in our admiration – Jancis Robinson MW has given it a couple of very nice write-ups over the past year.
