Kratosija is a variety of grape that has a long history in Macedonia. It’s believed to have been grown since ancient times, when wine was poured into amphorae and delivered to rich noblemen. Despite the fact that it nearly became extinct, Kratosija has survived and winemakers have turned it into a top quality variety. This delightful example from the Tikves Winery displays wonderful aromas of redcurrants, cherry and red berries leading to a textured and mouth-filling palate with vibrant fruit-forward flavours and a deliciously satisfying finish.
