Emiliana Success at 2012 Sommelier Challenge

The inaugural Wines of Chile Sommelier Chile Challenge took place earlier this year in Central London, with top UK sommeliers putting Chile to the test.

Comments from the tasters concurred that Chile’s premium wines are displaying much more elegance and food-friendliness nowadays, with oak and fruit in balance especially with the red wines. The guests also found that a sense of place was evident with cool climate / coastal areas such as Leyda, Casablanca, Limarí, and Paredones very much to the fore.

Emiliana results:
Emiliana Signos de Origen Syrah (organic) 2009 – 1st in the Syrah / Shiraz flight.
Emiliana Coyam 2008 – 2nd in the red blend flight.
Emiliana Reserve Especial Pinot Noir 2009 – 3rd in the Pinot Noir flight.
